Project Scope of Work:
The Jenkins Avenue Project from the City of Norman’s 2019 transportation Bond Program is an existing 4-lane divided roadway from Imhoff Road to Constitution Street and a 2-lane roadway north of Constitution Street to south of Lindsey Street.
The scope of work is to improve Jenkins Ave. from Imhoff Rd. to Lindsey St. The typical section will be a divided 4-lane section with landscaped median along with an ADA compliant 10-foot wide multi-use trail on the east side and an 8-foot wide sidewalk on the west side of Jenkins Ave. These corridor improvements promote safety enhancements for pedestrians and vehicles, alleviates drainage deficiencies in the existing system, and realigns Constitution St. with Imhoff Rd. to promote route connectivity.
Project Goals:
· Improve existing storm drain infrastructure.
· Improve bike/PED facilities to enhance pedestrian safety.
· Improve the corridor’s traffic safety, capacity and access management.

Finalize all R/W Acquisitions and Easements – February 2024
Utility Relocations Complete – May 2024
Final Plans and Cost Estimates – June 2024
Open Bids – October 2024
Begin Construction – January 2025
Complete Construction – August 2026
